Moore Family | Adoption Session | Conway, AR Family Photographer

Okay, so today I'm bringing you a post that is near and dear to my heart. My first two children are adoption through the foster care system. When my husband and I got married almost 4 years ago, we'd never even considered fostering. We had vague plans to adopt at some point in our future, but foster care wasn't something I saw many people do. Fast foward one year, we had been made aware of the crippling need for orphan care in our city, and we were sitting in our first informational meeting with The C.A.L.L. After being married less than 2 years, and only being an official foster home for a month, our forever children were placed in our home. It's made our lives hectic, difficult, and full. We've been married less than 4 years, but we have a 5 and a half year old daughter. It's overwhelming and bizarre and so totally God's doing. But enough about our {long} story! Today I want to introduce you to the Moore family. Even though I would consider these people family because we are all a part of The C.A.L.L, we had never met until the day of our session. Mandy and her husband Keith are precious people and I had no problem instantly calling them friends. This session took place last April, before their official adoption (I'll have those photos for you later!) so I wasn't able to share any with you until this week. Their sweet boy Thomas was a NATURAL in front of the camera. He knows what he's doing. Look out Mandy, you may have a model on your hands! Thomas is such a full-of-life (and energy!), happy little guy. The hour I spent with them was an absolute delight and I am so so very glad to be able to share these images now, because it means another sweet boy has found his forever family! No more waiting, for Thomas or his parents!That's something to celebrate, and celebrate we will.
